Online Lecture by Dr. Daniel Williams
Topic: "NOT KNOWING GOD IN ORDER TO SEE GOD".
Date: April 25, 2025 (Friday)
Time: 5-7 pm. (PST)
Platform: Zoom
Dr. Daniel Williams (Resident Scholar, Prof. of Religion in Patristics and Historical Theology, Baylor University) will talk on “Not Knowing God in Order to See God” — abstract: The place of mystery in our seeking God should not be regarded as a problem. The distance that exists between creature and Creator is not something to be overcome or removed, as if it were an obstacle to one’s growth in the Christian life. But the modern mind is insulted if it can’t find the answers it seeks to fulfill its knowledge. Christian believers, especially those in ministry, will have to come to terms that our relation with God often stands within the confines of impenetrability or a lack of knowledge when it comes to knowing God
